Decisive Tactics, Inc. ("DTI", or "We") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This policy, together with our Terms and Conditions of Website Use and any other documents referred to herein, sets forth the basis on which any personal data you provide to us, or that we collect from you, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how it will be treated.
For the purpose of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (the "GDPR"), the data controller is Decisive Tactics, Inc. with its registered office at 3901 Welby Dr, Midlothian, VA 23113, United States.
We may collect and process the following information about you:
The data we collect and process is strictly limited to that which is necessary for us to provide our service to you under the lawful bases of consent and/or necessity.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.
We use your IP address to facilitate the delivery of the web page you requested, to detect and respond to potentially malicious usage patterns, and to collect broad demographic information such as the country of origin. An IP address reveals the Internet Service Provider (ISP) you use, and from this a rough guess of your physical location can be determined though this information is not guaranteed to be accurate. We use this information, for example, to direct users to the server closest to them when downloading a file, and to aggregate general statistics on which countries our website traffic is originating from. We do not share this data with third parties.
Our website does not currently make use of cookies, and we do not make use of Google Analytics or other third-party traffic analysis tools.
We do not request, collect or store any sensitive personal data as defined under the GDPR (for example: data consisting of racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health, gender or sexual orientation), whether in aggregate or linked to any person or account. If we become aware of any such data being stored or processed in our systems, we will take reasonable steps to erase it.
If you are visiting our website or using our services from outside the United States, please be aware that you are sending your information (including any personal data you have furnished) to the United States where our servers are located. By using our products or services, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. This information will only be held within the United States, and will not be transferred to any country other than the US or an EU member country. Our collection, storage, and use of your data will at all times be governed by this Privacy Policy.
Our web hosting services are provided by DigitalOcean, 101 Avenue of the Americas, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10013. DigitalOcean complies with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal data from the EU and Switzerland. DigitalOcean, LLC has certified to the US Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles in respect of all personal data received from the EEA and Switzerland in reliance on the Privacy Shield. When you enter payment information, such as a credit card number, this information is processed by our payment processor (Bright Market, LLC d/b/a FastSpring. 801 Garden St., Santa Barbara, CA 93101). The checkout page and/or specific form fields where you enter such information are served directly from their secure servers, and we do not process, receive or store your payment information ourselves. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
We use information held about you in the following ways, under the lawful bases of consent, necessity and/or legal obligation:
If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you, and only where these are provided by us.
If you are a new customer, we will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this. If you email us before using one of our products or services, we will respond to you by email, only insofar as required to provide you with the information you have asked for. If you then decide that you do not wish to use our site or services based on our response to you, we will not contact you further.
We will retain your order history for an indefinite period to allow you to retrieve your license keys at any time. If you no longer wish us to retain this information on your behalf, you may contact us and request to have it deleted.
We will not, ever, disclose any information about you to any third party for the purpose of marketing.
Security is important to us and we know it is important to you. We follow generally accepted standards to protect your personal information when processing, transferring, and storing your personal information including Transport Layer Security (“TLS”), by restricting your personal data when we do not need to access it and by keeping your personal data only as necessary to perform our legitimate business interests.
We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
While we go to great lengths to protect our systems and servers from unauthorised access, and carry out regular internal data security audits, there is always a risk of malicious activity occurring. If we become aware of any potential or actual breach of our systems which may have caused exposure of your personal information, we will contact you via the email address you have provided to us within 72 hours of such discovery to inform you of the situation.
You have the right to access personal information held about you by us (known as a Subject Access Request under the GDPR). You may exercise this right at any time by contacting us. If you have an account with us, or we hold any personal information pertaining to you, we will provide this in a machine-readable format (such as CSV) within 30 days. There is no fee in relation to your request for access.
You have the right to ask us to remove all data and/or personal information we hold about you. We will use reasonable endeavours to remove all information from our systems, including backups where technically feasible, within 30 days. You can exercise this right at any time by contacting us. We may retain certain specific information, where required by law. There is no fee in relation to your request for erasure.
You have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing and storage at any time, including (but not limited to) your consent to be contacted by us. You may exercise this right at any time by contacting us, or by using the instructions provided in the e-mail communication you have received.
Our software products periodically check to see if an updated version is available. This check takes place over a TLS encrypted HTTPS connection to our servers. Update notifications are cryptographically signed to ensure the integrity of the update even in the event of a server compromise or redirection. As such, the in-app "Check for Updates..." feature is the most secure way to update our software.
As part of this update check, the following information is sent to our servers:
We use the information submitted to deliver the proper update information, and keep general statistics on the types of machines, operating system versions, and software versions currently in use at any given time.
We do not track user behaviour or usage metrics.

If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
