Serial is my goto program when I have no choice but hit the console port of those boxes in our lab.
It is perfect when coupled with an FTDI usb-serial adapter and provides the nice bells and whistles that come with a GUI.
Whether you end up needing VT100/220 Xterm etc. all those needed emulations are here. Tha't quite appreciated when you work on headless CPE VM hosts...
